RLH Pageants Unlimited and Cincinnati Black Theatre Company are pleased to announce the return of both Miss Black Cincinnati and
Miss Black Teen Cincinnati pageants, an event worthy of your (or company name compy or organization's) financial support. The event is a
much anticipated momentous celebration as each organization will celebrate milestone anniversaries, the 44th Anniversary of MBC and the
34th for MBTC.
The Founder and Executive Producer of RLH Pageants Unlimited is a community leader and philanthropist Robert L Humphries.
The mission of his ministry was then and remains the same today to create an African American beauty pageant for teens (13-17) and young
women (17-24). The focus is to develop life skills, professionalism, inner beauty, character, and the necessity to give back through
community engagement.
Mr. H, as he is affectionately known, along with his wife Jackie Humphries and a host of long-standing staff of volunteers, supporters, and
sponsors have contributed to the lives of over 1000 teens and young African American women on their journey to success.
Forging partnerships within the tri-state is critical to the Pageant's popularity, quality, and longevity. One such pairing occurred twenty-plus
years ago, when Cincinnati Black Theatre Company, under the leadership of Executive Director Donald Sherman, assumed the role of
directing the pageants.
Mr. Sherman is now the Executive Producer, assuming an even more prominent role. The pageants are now under the non-profit umbrella of
the Cincinnati Black Theatre Company.
The heart of the pageants is its contestants. The reigning Miss Black Cincinnati is Olivia Riggs, a graduating pre-law senior at the University of
Cincinnati. After graduation, she will attend law school. Her goals are to become a Judge and mentor young girls throughout the local
community. Her talent was Spoken Word, infused with Black Girl Magic. Olivia's hobbies include poetry, baking, and participating in
Operation Wakanda, a youth ministry.
Miss Black Teen Cincinnati, Joi Burton, attends Cincinnati Hills Christian Academy. She plans to earn a full scholarship to the college of her
choice, pursue a career as a public speaker, and put her love of everything style to good use by designing a well-known fashion brand. Joi's
hobbies include gymnastics, track, writing, shopping, styling, dancing, public speaking, and reading.
On Saturday, April 6, 2024, the Pageant's start time is 2:00 pm at Corinthian Baptist Church located at 1920 Tennessee Ave,
Cincinnati, OH 45237.
We look forward to celebrating the partnership forged through your tax-deductible financial support. Enclosed is the Community Partnership
Benefits sheet for your review information.
